Plant & Technology
Pentas Flora’s waste recovery and treatment plant utilises state of the art technologies that allows us to recover base oil from spent lubricating oil and to produce fuel oil from lower grade spent oils.
The base oil plant, built based on the short-path distillation technology removes all residue, sludge, impurities and metallic compounds from spent oils through mechanical separation, filtration and distillation process before the oil is bleached and polished to produce the golden colour that is familiar with lubricants and virgin base oils. The process utilized is an environmentally friendly technology that minimizes wastes and consumes minimal amount of chemicals in the process.
For fuel oil, Pentas Flora utilizes the similar first phase of impurities removal as per the base oil production process. The oil is then channeled to large dehydration tanks where water content is further reduced to ensure calorific values and viscosities are maintained as per the product specification.
The state of the art technology utilized enables our products to achieve the necessary ASTM specification and/or API standards or other industrial standards prescribed by our customers, which we test and prove in every delivery via the issuance of Certificate of Analysis by our Accredited Laboratory.
