Malaysia Strengthens Trade Protection with Anti-Dumping Measures on Steel Products

KUALA LUMPUR – The Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) indicated that eight of Malaysia’s nine existing anti-dumping measures apply to iron and steel products, including steel wire and galvanised sheets, while the remaining measure applies to plastic and resin products. Trade restrictions may also have an impact on raw material costs, production planning, and supply chains, which could affect manufacturing operations and industrial investment decisions.
