SELANGOR – Selangor’s Zero Discharge Policy has helped to minimise river pollution, with roughly 20% of industrial effluent now repurposed rather than dumped into rivers. The Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) has awarded approximately 7,000 licences and continues to examine and visit industrial sites to ensure compliance with environmental standards. The campaign pushes businesses to enhance their wastewater treatment and recycling procedures while lowering pollution levels. These initiatives may also boost demand for industrial wastewater management, water recovery technologies, and environmental compliance services.
