KUALA LUMPUR – Gas Malaysia Bhd announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Air Liquide Engineering & Construction to explore cooperative initiatives in low-carbon hydrogen, bio-liquefied natural gas (bio-LNG), and industrial carbon dioxide off-take in Malaysia. The strategic alliance, announced on the sidelines of the Gastech 2026 event in Bangkok, combines Gas Malaysia’s vast local gas distribution network and market presence with Air Liquide’s global unique technical knowledge. The initiative’s goal is to develop sustainable energy transition infrastructure that will assist domestic industrial facilities in replacing high-carbon energy inputs with low-emission alternatives, as well as to accelerate Scope 3 supply chain decarbonisation throughout regional manufacturing sectors.
